Starts ASAP: Internship in Shanghai, 3000 rmb/mnth, 4 to 5 month

This international company is a fast-growing professional organization with a community of 50,000+ professionals in Asia, is seeking highly motivated candidates for full-time internship opportunities in Shanghai.
The successful candidates will be involved in market research, identification of trade opportunities, support for promotional activities and the overall administration. While intern activities may vary, the scope of work will cover:

Membership
- Evaluate member's and non-member's attitudes to the Council advertising, services, events and benefits to ensure the timely adjustment of the Council's output to meet the membership's ever-changing needs;
- Develop new value-added services for members when opportunities arise;
- Conducts marketing surveys on the Council's existing and newly-introduced benefits;
- Coordinate activities aimed at maintaining and increasing the COuncil’s membership;

Database:
- Develop new market contacts and networks, and the ongoing understanding of the suply chain and logistics environment in specific industry sectors;
- Develop a robust database of prospects in the region, primarily foreign-invested manufacturers, retailers and trading companies in Tianjin area;
Sales & Marketing:
- Provide support in developing and launching new initiatives to help grow marketing exposure;
- Develop and manage barters agreements with magazines, websites and trade shows in Tianjin area;
- Recommend audience segmentation, production and execution of direct marketing campaigns;
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and monitor competitors;

Events & Activities:
- Conduct regular meetings, ensuring all events/activities are well-planned, efficient, results-oriented and timely.
- Schedule and attract notable and relevant speakers. Establish and maintain an effective format for speaker event documents and consistently maintain excellent standards;
- Coordinates events including workgroups, seminars, site tours, trainings, trade shows, conferences and summits;
- Supervise events logistics (AV, F & B, security, room sets, faculty communications, etc)

News & Research
- Compile and translate local news in supply chain and logistics for website and other updates
- Undertake market research in a variety of topics relevant to supply chain, logistics and sourcing in the region;

Qualifications
- Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or logistics
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously & meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in an intense team atmosphere
- Str0ng computer experience to include proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Str0ng written and verbal communication skills required.
- English a must, Chinese language skills desired, but not required.

Conditions
- Only current students pursuing a master in supply chain or logistics will be considered for the opportunity.
- This position will report directly to the director of operations in each market and may require some weekend and evening work for event coordination and attendance.
