    Mr Garcia’s biography:
    Mr Pablo Garcia started his career in Paris, France, selling high-end properties, and quickly ranked among the best sellers in this segment. He then moved to the Costa Del Sol, specializing his business in high-end villas and apartments in Marbella and Malaga. With the backing of Spanish most important developers, Mr Garcia started to target Russian buyers, what he managed to do with great success. He is now targeting the Kazakh and Chinese communities, and as a consequence is traveling to Albany, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong on a regular basis. Mr Garcia chose Shanghai to launch the new La Antigua development, with many villas especially designed to fit Chinese tastes.

    [FONT=宋体]Bonjour à tous,

    La NextStep team est en plein dans l’organisation du forum que nous pourrions appeler le "Loser's Day" ou plutôt "How to fail in China ?" qui aura lieu à la mi-juin. Si vous même, un ami, ou un collègue avez vécu un échec dans le lancement d'un projet professionnel en Chine, ou avez commis des erreurs importante, et bien... nous vous attendons pour rejoindre les autres intervenants!

    Plusieurs NextStep members nous demandent l'organisation de cet évènement depuis plusieurs mois. Cette fois, nous avons besoin de votre aide pour mettre en place un bon panel d'entrepreneurs qui ont commis des erreurs ou qui ont échoués et qui aimeraient partager leur expérience avec la communauté d'entrepreneurs NextStep afin qu'eux puissent apprendre de ces erreurs. (Cet évènement sera bien sûr en Anglais.)

    Si vous êtes intéressé pour participer à cet évènement ou connaissez quelqu'un qui pourrait l'être, contactez moi à Gregory.Prudhommeaux@NextStepDirectory.com.

    On another note the Green Business Forum is just around the corner. There are only nine days left until the Green Business Forum; it is an event you do not want to miss. Note that the Green Business Forum will be featured in the July 3rd issue of CityWeekend Magazine with an interview of Peggy Liu of JUCCCE.Nine panelists, the award winning documentary, The 11th Hour, and an in-depth Q&A session will shed some light on the current state of the environment. Equally as important the forum is a call to action that will provide everyone with a simple and manageable way to get active, to enact change, and to have an individual impact on the environment around you.

    Experts, from JUCCCE, Roots & Shoots, Greennovate, EmissionsZero, and other industry leaders, will set the facts straight on the mounting environmental strains now placed on Planet Earth and teach us how we as individuals can make an immediate impact by making simple changes to our business practices.

    ****************250RMB Entry Fee*****************
    **RSVP by email: rsvp@nextstepshanghai.com**

    We will learn about JUCCCE’s Light Bulb Project and how EmissionsZero’s carbon trading policies can effect change at the micro level and influence macro level policies—see how you can get active with both organizations. Find out how the Roots & Shoots Eco-Office Program can save your office money and resources, and more importantly make your business environmentally friendly. It is the goal of the Green Business Forum to double the total number of companies participating in the Roots & Shoots Eco-Office program. Discover how architecture and design companies like Arc8X and A00 can greatly improve the environment within which you work by implementing green policies, and learn why all companies big and small like urbn Hotel should be doing this. And of course find out how manufacturing and supply chain management play a pivotal role in our move towards eco-friendly business practices.

    The forum will include panels covering two major topics. The first panel will focus on the Carbon Credit Markets, discussing the coming energy crisis in China and shedding light on the complex Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol and how it will effect industrial development, as well as its potential to spurn the growth of Carbon Emission Reduction credit focused businesses in China.

    The second panel is concerned with How to Make Your Business Green, and will discuss the environmental consequences of business practice, offering ideas on how companies can effect change with a few simple alterations to everyday business routines. This will also include office and building design, manufacturer waste audits, supply chain management guidance, and more.

    The afternoon will also see excerpts from environmental documentary The 11th Hour. In this film we will hear from over fifty of the world’s leading scientists, and other professionals now focused on the environment. The documentary will surely expose most of us to facts, figures, ideas and solutions that we never thought possible.

    Tickets are 250 RMB* including buffet and drinks. *25% of all ticket proceeds and 50% of cash sponsorships will be donated to Roots & Shoots Shanghai and Greennovate.

    The Ins and Outs of China PE Legal Issues :

    Join us for a look into the fledgling Private Equity industry in China, and what it may mean for your company and for the future growth of China.

    China is one of the world's fastest-growing economies, providing unparalleled opportunities for both foreign and local companies. Nevertheless, numerous cultural, commercial and governmental issues separate investors from opportunities and entrepreneurs from capital. The Private Equity (“PE”) market in China is showing promising signs of developing into a major global arena for investment opportunities. Of course, this is due in large part to the rise in China’s GDP as well as their excess foreign reserve supply, but it is the Government that it helping to pave the way to a more investor-friendly environment. New laws relating to investment vehicles modeled after those in developed countries are proving that China intends to be a compatible player in global capital markets. The Chinese government is working hard to configure its investment environment so that its economy can be fueled by PE investors, both from China and abroad.

    Realizing the need for continued IPO expansion in China and to prevent Mainland China companies from listing abroad, the Chinese government will soon allow a less restrictive section of these Exchanges to operate. Called the “Venture Section”, companies will soon be allowed to list their IPOs as long as they attain certain milestones.

    Don't forget to RSVP.
