A flight bound for Singapore from Indonesia has lost contact with air traffic control.
An AirAsia flight that departed Surabaya on Sunday morning was meant to land at Changi Airport, according to Singapore's The Sunday Times.
AirAsia Indonesia has released a statement on Facebook saying: '[it] regrets to confirm that flight QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore has lost contact with air traffic control at 07.24hrs this morning'.

An AirAsia flight that departed Surabaya early Sunday morning was meant to land at Changi Airport at 4.30am
'At the present time, we unfortunately have no further information regarding the status of the passengers and crew members on board, but we will keep all parties informed as more information becomes available,' it said.
'At this time, search and rescue operations are in progress and AirAsia is cooperating fully and assisting the rescue service.'
The aircraft was an Airbus A320-200 with the registration number PK-AXC.
Indonesian Transport Ministry official Hadi Mustofa said the plane had asked for an unusual route before it lost contact.

Un airbus A320-200 de la compagnie malaisienne à bas coûts, Air Asia, faisant la liaison entre la ville indonésienne de Surabaya et Singapour a perdu le contact avec les autorités aériennes, rapportent dimanche 28 décembre des médias locaux, qui citent le ministère des transports indonésien.
Un porte-parole du ministère a précisé que le contact a été perdu avec le vol QZ 8501 à 6 h 17 heure locale (00 h 17 à Paris), selon l'agence Reuters. Joint par l'Agence France-Presse, l'un de Lien retiré collègues rapporte quant à lui une perte du signal à 7 h 55 locales.
L'appareil auraait demandé d'être dérouté peu avant la perte de contact. Il transporte 161 personnes : six membres d'équipage et 155 passagers, dont 16 enfants et un nourrisson. Selon une chaîne de télévision indonésienne, du côté des voyageurs : 149 seraient Indonésiens, trois Coréens, un Britannique et un Malaisien.

Indonesian media reports on Sunday say a plane has crashed off waters near Belitung Timur.
It’s unclear if it’s AirAsia Flight QZ-8501, which went missing on early Sunday morning going from Indonesia to Singapore.
According to the Malaysian Insider on Sunday:
An aircraft has reportedly crashed in the waters off East Belitung, off the east coast of Sumatra, after authorities confirmed that AirAsia Flight QZ8501 went missing earlier today.
The Bangka Pos news portal said there was no confirmation of the crash site.
AirAsia said in a statement that the plane was an Airbus A320-200 and that search and rescue operations were in progress.
The plane had six crew and 155 passengers, including 16 children and one infant, the general manager of Surabaya’s Juanda airport, Trikora Raharjo, told The Associated Press.
There were six foreigners — three South Koreans including an infant and one each from Singapore, British and Malaysia, said Raharjo. The rest were Indonesians, he said.
The plane lost contact when it was believed to be over the Java Sea between Kalimantan and Java islands, Mustofa said.
He said the weather in the area was cloudy.
The Singapore aviation authority said it was informed about the missing plane by Jakarta ground control about half an hour after the contact was lost.
“Search and rescue operations have been activated by the Indonesian authorities,” it said, adding that the Singapore air force and the navy also were activated with two C-130 planes.
AirAsia also issued a statement reads on Facebook:

Il semble que la zone de recherche soit assez bien délimitée. On ne devrait pas tarder à localiser l'avion (ou des morceaux en tous cas).
Un peu moins d'une heure après leur décollage de Surabaya, le pilote a demandé à voler à 38.000 pieds au lieu des 32.000 pieds où il se trouvait, afin d'éviter une zone de turbulences. Mais la tour de contrôle n'a pas pu accéder à sa demande en raison d'un trafic trop important à cette altitude plus élevée, a expliqué à AP Bambang Tjahjono, directeur de la société chargée du trafic aérien. En effet, il y avait déjà six appareils qui volaient à cette altitude.
Quatre minutes après cette dernière communication, l'avion, avec ses 162 passagers à bord, disparaissait au nord de l'île de Java, d'où il avait décollé, pour se rendre à Singapour.

par ailleurs les pilotes français expatries aiment l expérience AirAsia compagnie qu ils jugent sure et bien équipée mais en vol dans les zones indonésiennes les pilotes sont souvent obliges de communiquer entre eux sans passer par les contrôles au sol car ces equipes du contrôle aérien indoniens n ont pas trop de formation
