In view of our continued business expansion in Hong Kong, China and Asian market, we are recruiting the position of Senior Hardware and Software Leader reporting to Head of R&D Department.

Position is based in Shenzhen (Lohu) with frequent travels worlwide.

Main missions will include:

As Senior Hardware and Software Engineer for mobile phones, you will specify, follow up and insure validation of Android/Windows CE based Mobile phone on a new platform. You will be working closely with our project management team and Out sourced ODM companies for Hardware and Software development, internal product management and user experience while driving innovation through your suggestions.

You are strategic and proactive in a dynamic small but WW company environment.

You should have a passion for solving complex and interesting problems.

Responsibilities

● Responsible to write the technical HW specifications for the platform, including the Radio, Acoustic, main features, performances …

● Actively participate to define and implement with the latest available Android version the UI software functionality for the Android platform

● Work closely with project teams to ensure on-time delivery of HW and software until final field validation.

● In charge to monitor and evaluate the platform performance as autonomy, speed, radio, acoustic for in house product as well as existing competition products

● Insure a permanent market analysis to be able to recommend processor and software architecture, UI, services, apps, …

● Apply the best combination of theory and practice to create a team culture that

generates innovation while keeping in budget line and schedule.

● Pilot internal and external processes such as version control, bug tracking, reviews,

design patterns, risk analysis, …

● Create a culture of excellence in technology, holding yourself and the rest of the

team accountable to making the best platform possible.

● Design internal and external development processes to increase quality and time to market for the

project.

eDUCATION LEVEL REQUESTED / TECHNICAL AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS

● Significant knowledge of Android/Windows CE/Java applications. Most desirable is familiarity
with the underlying frameworks of Android, from C libraries through the Java UI
frameworks.
● Strong knowledge of processors used in Mobiles phone market and electronics architecture plus
peripheral as cameras, LCD, …
● Development experience consuming and providing web service APIs .
● Experience writing, troubleshooting, and debugging multithreaded applications.
● Demonstrable experience of shipping high-quality mobile phones or embedded software
in Java or C++.
● Experience building complex systems for reliability, speed, and scalability.
● Experience working with a team of hardware and software engineers that utilize modern
practices to deliver commercial mobile phone products.
● Experience working with a test team to insure the reliability of commercial products WW
● Willingness and desire to lead the organization to execute product roadmap.
● Outstanding WW team player with excellent communication skills.
● 5+ years experience.
● Deep experience with building and shipping phones using Android.
● Experience designing applications in the iPhone development environment.
● Demonstrable experience creating innovation UIs, platforms, or working closely with a
product, UI, or UE team.

Ability to travel in Asia is mandatory.
