To open personal bank accounts with Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, you are welcome to visit any of our Hong Kong branches in person for application. Please bring along your passport and residential address proof from your residing country (e.g. utility bills or bank statements). The residential address proof must bear your name and is issued in the latest three months. For your information, address proof with a "c/o company address", "c/o personal address", commercial addressor PO box is not acceptable. If your permanent address is different from your current residential address, both of the address proofs are required. Currently, we offer savings account in different currencies including HKD, CNY, USD, AUD, GBP, CAD, EUR, CHF, NZD and JPY. Moreover, client could open the multi-currency account -- Integrated Deposit Account (IDA) with us. The minimum initial deposit is HKD/CNY1,000.00, JPY20,000.00 or 200.00 of the other currencies respectively.
In order to provide privileged banking service, we offer three kinds of Relationship Banking Plans to clients. They are Priority Banking, Personal Banking Privileged Plan and Easy Banking. You may visit our website at

The maintenance fee will be waived if the average daily relationship balance in the past three months meets the relevant minimum relationship balance requirement. Normally, the maintenance fee and the minimum balance requirements are:

Easy Banking – HKD10,000.00 (under personal accounts in sole name or
joint names as primary account holder)
