Established since 2001, our client is a leading global premier business institution that combines advanced education through technology enablement and traditional methodologies. This platform has successfully delivered and offered globally recognized graduate programs as well as customized management development programs for corporate enterprises. This learning platform is backed by an international network of 20 leading research-intensive universities in 12 countries. The institution has successfully reached out to markets in over 60 countries around the world including those from Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. To pursue an expansion plan for China in 2008, the institution is seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced incumbent for the following position to be based in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:
- Source and work on prospective clients with management development/education needs for their talent (consultative approach)
- Drive marketing appropriate activities and campaigns
- Work with Academic team, and be intimately involved in the design of customized programs for specific clients
- Ensure that clients are satisfied with the institution’s services and outcomes
- Understand, analyze and advise on market trends and directions, including competitive information
- Establish alliances with key market players who are able to influence our target market
- Work with partners/agents to further enhance market penetration

Relationships
- Internal: Academic/Faculty members, Registrar's Office, Bursary/Finance, Corporate team and Learning Design,
- External: Clients, Potential clients, Government officials, Partners, Universities, Banks
- Reports to Director, Corporate and Graduate Programs, North Asia (based in Singapore)

Desired Candidate Requirements
- A passion for business development in the start-up phase
- A sharp sense of business acumen
- Quality-minded and process-oriented to achieve targets
- Good knowledge of China's higher education and corporate HR/ Training environment
- Resourceful (is able to work independently)
- Responsible (trustworthy)
- Resilient and motivated (welcomes a challenge)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in corporate business development in education-related or training environment.
