[FONT=times new roman,times]This week you will be receiving multiple emails from NextStep as we have two events taking place in the coming days, so try not to confuse the two of them.[/FONT]

[FONT=times new roman,times]NextStep will be venturing beyond the typical Tuesday networking event, and into a Forum Series that will begin on Sunday, November 4th from 11:30am til 2:30pm at Mesa & Manifesto. [/FONT]

[FONT=times new roman,times]Titled, “Bringing the West to the Wild, Wild East” NextStep will have four panelists from varying industries to discuss how they brought their western brand/service/product to China and ended up on top. The event will be limited to 40 guests in order to facilitate dialougue between the panelists and guests. Joining us on our panel will be Chen Wei Xing of Babelas Italian Restaurant, Carson Block of YBS Investments, Stephen Protz of Arc8X Architects, and Vladimir Djurovic of LabBrand. Each of our panelists will speak for ten minutes about their ventures, and afterwards the discussion will be opened to all guests to question and converse. The goal of the event is create constructive and educational dialogue.[/FONT]

[FONT=times new roman,times]Mr Chen Wei Xing has successfully opened over ten Babelas outlets in the past eighteen months, and will open another forty-five by the end of 2008. Babelas is in direct competition with Pizza Hut, and has received venture capital funding. Mr. Carson Block J.D. has been a part of many successful investment ventures in China, and has recently published a “Doing Business in China” under the“Dummies” book brand that you can pick up at Amazon.com. Stephen Protz is the founder of Arc8X Architects, a highly successful architectural firm that has taken on some great projects despite the small office, including: Shanghai Dupont Complex, Shanghai Zoo Guerilla House, The 9 Ltd. Co., and many others.Lastly, Vladimir Djurovic runs the creative firm LabBrand, where they help you conceptualize your China brand concept.[/FONT]

[FONT=times new roman,times]NextStep is excited to launch the new Forum Series that will run once a month at various venues around town. The Forum Series will offer a buffet meal and free flow of selected beverages. Please RSVP for “Bringing the West to the Wild, Wild East” by emailing joseph.constanty@tangential.cn. We will collect a seat deposit fee at the upcoming Tuesday event on October 30th. Total price for the event is 200RMB/pax including brunch buffet. We are looking forward to a great event.[/FONT]
