    We are currently looking for a dynamic and focused professional chef with a background in Western cuisine to join our restaurant based in Hong Kong.We are looking for a chef able to manage the shop and a team of 4 to 5 people.
    The shop is an open kitchen take away, big part of the job will be welcoming customers and providing good service in a nice and friendly atmosphere.

    That is the right role for someone who wants to be part of a fast expanding business at the very early stage. You need to be assertive, think and act independently.

    Job description

    • Provide excellent culinary and organization skills
    • Assume all responsibility and accountability for all production functions
    • Set up and oversee menu development planning, portion and cost controls
    Standardize recipes and production procedures to keep a continuous high level of food quality

    • Ensure consistent quality of ingredients by suppliers, order and receiving of all general supplies
    • Monitor and ensure ongoing quality control and hygiene of food preparation
    • Provide staff training to ensure maximum productivity, waste control, food hygiene control, and deliver excellent culinary and organization skills
    • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Western restaurants, Experience in Hong Kong restaurants would be an advantage
    • Str0ng working knowledge of food storage and handling, food recipes and preparation, seafood cooking techniques and procedures
    • Good communication and management skills
    • Enthusiastic, creative, independent, organized and reliable personality
    • Good command of written and spoken English, Good command in Cantonese would be an advantage, French is a plus.
    • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Sous Chef.
