    With wooden floors, exposed bricks and long, communal tables, Kartel is a three-storey lounge wine bar specialized in French food located in the heart of the former French Concession. The lounge bar is decorated in a destroyed-chic setting. The lounge offers a relaxed atmosphere to take in cocktails as wines.
    An unbelievable hidden roof-top terrace complements the two floors with a breath taking panoramic view of Shanghai Skyline, which gives new perspectives on the city.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Bar Manager is responsible for leading and motivating the Bar team. He has to be aware of the good service conditions and team management.

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Str0ng Bar Management background - Able to close late night: 2 am - Team Player - Excellent communications, Human Resources skills, lead others and develop long term relationships

    QUALIFICATIONS
    - Must have the ability to work a minimum of 50 hours a week. - Will frequently reach customers, help in organizing events - Ability to manage customer demands - Str0ng leadership skills - Time management skills - Very good and English speaking. Chinese speaking is also appreciated

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Communicates the restaurant’s vision to all team members and leads by example. - Actively monitors kitchen operations and cleanliness - Help in creating new menus and offers insuring our guest satisfaction - Builds and maintains relationships and communication with team members and front of house management alike - Follows proper ordering, inventory and receiving procedures - Works together with the management team to further develop the event spaces and its offerings - Conducts recruitment and selection, training and development initiatives as well as performance management and employee coaching - Demonstrates high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the business unit - Ensures proper health and safety procedures are followed by all team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    - No minimum required but a culinary leadership experience is appreciated - Self-starter, flexible and ability to multi-task - Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills - Human resources management skills such as: recruitment, selection, training, performance management - Str0ng leadership skills - Time management skills - Very good and English speaking. Chinese speaking is also appreciated.
