Homestay is a Cultural Exchange program in Hangzhou, an opportunity for a visitor to live in a Chinese home while sightseeing the UNESCO heritage: West Lake, a rich cultural and language experience. Moreover it’s totally free.

The Homestay program, launched by District Government of Shangcheng, is intended to help International visitors learn about local culture, and allows Chinese families to learn about International visitors and their culture.

WHO MAY APPLY?
Any of International visitors, who will visit the city of Hangzhou between the late March and Early April.

ABOUT THE HOMESTAY FAMILIES
All families are carefully selected and interviewed before joining our program
The families chosen live close to West Lake.
They have a keen interest in other cultures and have good English language skills

HOMESTAY HOMES & HOUSEHOLDS
Visitors have full use of the household, such as telephone, television, living room and kitchen
Visitors are expected to do their own laundry and cleaning
Visitors are not expected to supervise children
Families will include their Visitor in day to day activities of the family as well as cultural activities of interest to the Visitor and family
The family will provide you with a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily

FEES & APPLICATION
The HOMESTAY family will charge no fees from the visitors. And the HOMESTAY family will afford all the accommodations.
