Our client is looking for a young,high potential CFO to set up its retail operations in Hong Kong
The Financial and Operation Manager of HK overseas Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, Administration, and Logistic functions .His key responsibilities will be to plan, direct and guide the financial plans, strategies and policies of the organization in Asia.

Under the direct supervision of Asia Managing Director and functional reporting to Group CFO, the Asia CFO/COO is responsible for:

1. Local Operations:

- Act as a business partner for local Country Manager (China, HK…) on all financial, administration and legal aspects

- Propose and implement proper strategy and approach to make the company reach its business goals
- Manage and build local teams (finance, HR, IT, logistic…)

- Stock level management

- Monitor Receivables and unpaid

- Cash Management: monthly cash forecast, anticipate group financing needs, bank coordination…



2. Production of Group monthly Reporting and Budget for Asia Zone

- D+7 monthly reporting

- Analysis of variances Vs Budget, reforecast, propose and implement corrective actions when necessary

- Provide financial analysis & business metrics: Wholesale, Retail Store, Retail corners, Web…

- Manage and monitor the budget process



3. Logistics: Look for solution to implement our own warehousing vs. external supplier

- Recruit the logistic team

- Supervise all inventory matters (warehousing, picking, packing, and shipping)

- Relationship with the carriers (Fed-Ex, etc.)

- Control stock level in order to minimize inventory level, OOS (out of stocks) and obsoletes

- Organize monthly meetings with operation Manager in order to review inventory level Sku by Sku and forecast the rolling next 12 months needs for Paris purchase department

- Update a Logistics dashboard on monthly basis (level of inventory in months on hand, incident reports, team performance, level of obsolete, etc.)



4. Statutory financial statements in accordance with local standards for Asian subsidiaries:

- Responsible for statutory audit

- Tax fillings, legal, tax and HR compliance

- Tax optimization, Transfer pricing



5. Internal control

- Implement and formalize internal procedures in all financial and administration areas: Capex, cash management, sales, Inventory tracking, inventory obsolescence…

- Develop best practices between different countries



6. IT

- Maintain and anticipate IT needs for HR, Accounting, Logistic, Sales, Marketing, Web, CRM… in coordination with Group

- Monitor IT Capex

- Implement IT systems in China



7. Legal

- Maintain all local corporate matters (corporate, contracts, real estate, lease, suppliers…)

- Manage relationship with the lawyers



An ideal candidate would have Finance & Operations experience in a Retail setup.Please note Retail experience is necessary. French speaking candidates are highly preferred.
