LEADING GIFTS AND PREMIUMS COMPANY SEEKS TEXTILE MERCHANDISER (Chinese nationality required) Based in our SHANGHAI office in HONGQIAO, the merchandiser will be responsable for the implemenation and follow-up of orders of one of our key french customers.
- Supporting clients to prepare their suit collections (1 summer and 1 winter collection per year). Be the interface between our clients and the factories.

- Sourcing on fabric manufacturers /suit assembly factories / various textile and fashion accessories manufacturers in China . Sourcing on other textile products to reinforce and stabilize our position on the european market.

- Responsible for the whole purchasing procedure and assume the orders follow-up until shipment. Implement the production planning with the factories, organise the approval samples, process the incoming orders, follow-up of producion,

- Arrange the inspection and supervise the quality control.
Edit the spec sheets for the various controls during and after production and assist during the Q/C

- Weekly reporting to the SHENZHEN head office. (Sales figures, progress reports, ......)

- Responsable for the daily running of the Shanghai office and ensuring payments for the various expenses incurred (rent, telephone etc)

The position demands travelling to factories to some extent , and accompanying clients to visit exibitions (Canton fair / textile fair in Shanghai )

Other duties will include dealing with price enquiries from our other clients concerning textile products, sourcing and benchmarking textile factories.
For the successful candidate, development of local business (sales, sourcing etc) could be a possibility.

The position would be suitable for a female candidate although not obligatory.
Textile experience is a plus.
French speaking is a must
