Project Engineer (CSA) and Authority Officer:
Job Description
Shall be one of the key members of a Project team (on site) and will be reporting to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
-The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the activities and efforts of contractors to ensure construction is completed within schedule, cost, quality and safely;
-Preparation, implementation and monitoring of procurement and construction programmes and schedules; Preparation, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance procedures and compliance;
-Liaison with consultants and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with head contract requirements; Supervision of contractors to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the plans of specification and EHS requirements;
-Administration of contractors’ progress claims, variation claims and extensions of time claims; Identify detailed project risks and issues and raise them to appropriate levels; Prepare basic site reports and administration.
-Provide ongoing forecasting for the overall project; Maintain and manage all subcontract and supplier files.
-To ensure all accounting enquires and problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently; The establishment of administration procedures to cover all minor works and purchase orders;
-Basic forecasting in a timely and accurate manner; To process all payments, invoices and claims accurately;
-Deal with all Site Instructions and Communicate with all Authorities
-Good experience with Authorities procedures and Local Government submittals and approvals including Fire Bureau, Audit Bureau, Planning Bureau…etc and Construction Permit as well as all necessary authorisations.
Requirements:
-Good team player
-Native Chinese
-Personality: honest and internationally minded
-Spoken and written fluency in English is a MUST: ability to communicate fluently in meetings of an international team, on the telephone and in negotiations
-Command of French is a plus
Salary: Negotiable
